Wow, it can be frustrating! For all of us who try to be careful in nourishing our bodies with healthy organic foods, sometimes it can be disappointing, to say the least, to find out that a company that we once trusted as providing organic food, has been bought out by a larger commercial food company who doesn’t really much care about the environment or our health. $$$ is of course, is the name of the game.

For those of us who are very observant, we may notice slight (but important) differences in the labeling. Sometimes the the % of organic ingredients is drastically reduced or totally eliminated in a product we usually buy. It’s purposely tough to see. The packaging often is very similar to the older one and the brand name is the same too. If we’ve come to trust that company, who bothers to take out their magnifying glasses every time?

Thankfully, we do have people and/or organizations helping to watch for our concerns. The Cornucopia Institute, a research and education group, is one of those helpful organizations who works to protect the integrity of the organic food label. They are a good food and farming watchdog and they uncover some surprising stuff. If you want to learn lots of informative data you can visit and look around their website here: http://www.cornucopia.org/

An enlightening video done by the Cornucopia Institute called “cereal crimes” explains the vast difference between “natural” vs.”organic” cereals. Many food companies are substituting more natural ingredients for the better “organic” ones. View it here:
:

Dr. Mercola, a leading natural health information author, published an excellent article about the Cornucopia Institute in one of his writings. See below:

After viewing all of this, I have come to appreciate Jordan Rubin’s company, Beyond Organic ever so much more. They are truly like a breath of fresh air in polluted skies. Beyond Organic will probably go down in history as the most trusted organic farm ever. They are already growing and proving that they are the leaders in unsurpassed quality. Jordan Rubin is on top of it all when it comes to knowing the organic standard requirements. He’s aware of all the loopholes that even the organic industry has and he doesn’t like them. He vows to go beyond that. He refuses to sell anything that he would not eat himself and that’s saying a lot! The products that his company produces are a dream come true for most of us who want the best. Yes, the products are certainly not cheap, but the quality (and so, the taste) is unbeatable and well worth it. You can always rest assured that you are indeed getting what you pay for and then some. New products were added in the spring of 2012 including 2 new flavors of Amasai ( Blueberry Acai and Mango Peach…yum!) and 2 new flavors of Suero-Viv (SueroViv Green and SueroGold). Look out for more new items soon —raw vegan products will be added (probably this summer) for all of you who don’t eat dairy or meat! Whatever they add, you can rest assured that all will be the best available and that it IS truly organic.

Here is a video done by author and health educator, Paul Nison, who recently visited the Beyond Organic Ranch in Missouri. This is a must see:

Wouldn’t you love to have Beyond Organic Ranch in your back yard? I am ever so grateful to be able to have access to their wonderful products even if I live miles away. If you haven’t looked over their website, please take time to do so. Be sure to check this summer as even more new and healthy products will be available from Beyond Organic.

If you’d like, please go back to our Top Pick to learn more about Beyond Organic.

Are you someone who loves sports or energy drinks, mineral-enhanced waters or similar “functional” beverages? A functional beverage is one that provides more than hydration and flavor.

I was always one who preferred just plain water over “fancier” drinks, but since finding SueroViv, a Beyond Organic cultured whey beverage, I often times find myself reaching for a raspberry lemonade! After outdoor or indoor workouts, I find Sueroviv to be the most revitalizing drink to have. It easily hydrates the body and replenishes electrolytes.

SueroViv means “whey of life.” It’s a unique product with an unusual name, at first hard to even pronounce. The name, as well as the product, grow on you very quickly.

SueroViv is the original probiotic water product made from whey. Whey is the liquid extracted when making cheese, in this case, from raw cheese made from 100% GreenFed cows. The whey is then cultured with probiotics to naturally preserve the drink and to increase it’s health benefits. Probiotics are critical to health. These “good bugs” help keep the digestive and immune systems in good working order.

After culturing the whey with the all important probiotics, the liquid is combined with Reign Supreme spring water from northern Georgia. Voila, hydration and probiotics together in one awesome organic beverage!

Ah, but Jordan’s not done yet—he has to make the beverage even healthier and taste oh so delicious! For the finishing touches, antioxidant rich fruit juices like raspberry and lemon are added along with naturally sweet organic honey.

That’s not all though–organic essential oils, prized for centuries, are included for their health promoting factors as well as uniquely delicious flavors. What more could you ever want?

Watch Jordan Rubin’s video on SueroViv here:

Overall, SueroViv, is a nutrient rich tonic elixir. It provides electrolyte minerals such as calcium, magnesium, potassium and sodium. It also contains protein, beta-carotene (Vitamin A) as well as several of the B vitamins. Last but not least, it’s refreshingly so good too!

SueroViv is a perfect fitness drink for the athlete but is also great for children, the elderly and anyone in between. It comes in three flavors: raspberry lemonade, orange cinnamon and citrus. In our family, the raspberry lemonade wears the favored blue ribbon with the citrus flavor coming in as runner up. Some people love the orange cinnamon but that seems to be the one either people love or could pass on. You have to try them all to see what your favorite is. They are all healthfully delicious and can only be purchased from Beyond Organic.

Here’s where you can go to find out more about SueroViv and to purchase some if you want: http://clearway.mybeyondorganic.com/Products_BeveragesSueroViv.aspx

See more about Beyond Organic and their products on this website’s Top Pick page or go directly to Beyond Organics products here: http://clearway.mybeyondorganic.com/Products.aspx

I thought Amasai was my favorite Beyond Organic Product but SueroViv rivals it very well! Both Products get gold medals in our house. I have to say that I can drink SueroViv every day and not get tired of it. It’s the perfect drink to start off the day and it’s also great after workouts or between meals. It’s just so wonderfully light and refreshing!

Wow…finally had my first taste of Amasai, an organic cultured dairy beverage from Beyond Organic. It’s a drinkable yogurt smoothie-like beverage with a slightly tart but incredibly creamy and delicious flavor. If you’re fond of other cultured dairy products like yogurt and kefir, you’ll absolutely fall in love with Amasai. It has earned “outstanding” status in our refrigerator! My husband had to immediately call me from work after he had his first drink, just to rave how incredibly delicious it was. He wants more. We just can’t describe how heavenly this drink is, nothing really compares to it.

***Awesome Amasai***

Jordan Rubin’s health was restored with the use cultured dairy products when he was recovering from Crohn’s disease years ago. At the time, Jordan drank Kefir daily, and he had to go to great lengths to find it. Amasai is the next generation in cultured dairy beverages and the best part is, it’s now produced in the U.S. and can be shipped directly to us. Thank you, Jordan!

A traditional food inspired by the strong and amazingly healthy Maasai tribe of South Africa, mass or amasai is one of the healthiest probiotic rich foods/beverages around. We are lucky that Jordan, on his Southern Missouri farm, has been able to replicate this absolutely superb beverage that so impressed him during his travel to South Africa. The cattle that Jordan has on his Beyond Organic ranch, different than 99.9% of the other American dairy cattle, have a very similar genetic makeup as the Maasai tribe’s “olde world” cattle.

When I first tasted it, the creamy taste is what first impressed me. I do like Kefir and Yogurt but Amasai has a richer, much creamier texture and flavor. You must definitely shake this drink vigorously since it’s quite thick. Beyond Organic Amasai is made from 100% whole milk from the healthiest/richest dairy herds in the U.S. In his latest book, “Live Beyond Organic,” Jordan Rubin claims that nearly all commercial and organic whole milk is 3.5 to 3.7 percent fat. The percentage of fat in Beyond Organic Ranch milk, from green fed cows, is a whopping 4.2 to 4.9! No wonder it’s so good! It’s whole, pure and balanced with good fats, proteins, vitamins and minerals, just as God intended it to be. This incredible drink contains more than 30 live probiotic cultures and contains pre-digested proteins. A 16 oz container (depending on the flavor) provides 14-16 grams of very easily digestible protein. For any of us, this product is extraordinary. For those suffering from digestive disturbances or even any immune system problems, this is a godsend.

Watch this quick video on Amasai here: http://youtu.be/hal6MundoYw

All of Beyond Organic’s products are great but Amasai is my personal favorite. If you want to read more about Beyond Organic and their foods and beverages go back to: http://weborganicfood.com/top-pick-beyond-organic

I just can’t say enough good things about Amasai…you’ll just have to try this one of a kind product for yourself. Once you do, please share your thoughts/comments on it below…
