Wow…finally had my first taste of Amasai, an organic cultured dairy beverage from Beyond Organic. It’s a drinkable yogurt smoothie-like beverage with a slightly tart but incredibly creamy and delicious flavor. If you’re fond of other cultured dairy products like yogurt and kefir, you’ll absolutely fall in love with Amasai. It has earned “outstanding” status in our refrigerator! My husband had to immediately call me from work after he had his first drink, just to rave how incredibly delicious it was. He wants more. We just can’t describe how heavenly this drink is, nothing really compares to it.

***Awesome Amasai***

Jordan Rubin’s health was restored with the use cultured dairy products when he was recovering from Crohn’s disease years ago. At the time, Jordan drank Kefir daily, and he had to go to great lengths to find it. Amasai is the next generation in cultured dairy beverages and the best part is, it’s now produced in the U.S. and can be shipped directly to us. Thank you, Jordan!

A traditional food inspired by the strong and amazingly healthy Maasai tribe of South Africa, mass or amasai is one of the healthiest probiotic rich foods/beverages around. We are lucky that Jordan, on his Southern Missouri farm, has been able to replicate this absolutely superb beverage that so impressed him during his travel to South Africa. The cattle that Jordan has on his Beyond Organic ranch, different than 99.9% of the other American dairy cattle, have a very similar genetic makeup as the Maasai tribe’s “olde world” cattle.

When I first tasted it, the creamy taste is what first impressed me. I do like Kefir and Yogurt but Amasai has a richer, much creamier texture and flavor. You must definitely shake this drink vigorously since it’s quite thick. Beyond Organic Amasai is made from 100% whole milk from the healthiest/richest dairy herds in the U.S. In his latest book, “Live Beyond Organic,” Jordan Rubin claims that nearly all commercial and organic whole milk is 3.5 to 3.7 percent fat. The percentage of fat in Beyond Organic Ranch milk, from green fed cows, is a whopping 4.2 to 4.9! No wonder it’s so good! It’s whole, pure and balanced with good fats, proteins, vitamins and minerals, just as God intended it to be. This incredible drink contains more than 30 live probiotic cultures and contains pre-digested proteins. A 16 oz container (depending on the flavor) provides 14-16 grams of very easily digestible protein. For any of us, this product is extraordinary. For those suffering from digestive disturbances or even any immune system problems, this is a godsend.

All of Beyond Organic’s products are great but Amasai is my personal favorite. If you want to read more about Beyond Organic and their foods and beverages go back to: http://weborganicfood.com/top-pick-beyond-organic

I just can’t say enough good things about Amasai…you’ll just have to try this one of a kind product for yourself. Once you do, please share your thoughts/comments on it below…
